Entry Regulations

• 1.
  When you complete your entry, the "My Entry" page will be created automatically. Entry status, entry result, event fee payment, and issuance of Runner Handbook and Finisher Certificate will be available on the "My Entry". Note, the "My Entry" page created for this event is scheduled to be deleted in late May 2026.
• 2.
  A duplicate application for the race entry by the same applicant is prohibited. Also duplicate entry for the ONE TOKYO Premium Member Entry, ONE TOKYO GLOBAL Member Entry, General Entry and Semi-Elite Entry is not allowed. If duplicate entry is discovered, the entry will be voided and the paid event fee will not be refunded.
  In case a chargeback is executed due to a claim to your credit card company, all benefits obtained, including entry tickets from ONE TOKYO Premium Member Entry, ONE TOKYO GLOBAL Member Entry, General Entry, the Second Draw, and next event entry tickets won in virtual events, will be invalidated retroactively from the beginning of the annual membership.
• 3.
  ONE TOKYO three consecutive unsuccessful member challenge is also eligible to ONE TOKYO GLOBAL Member.
  The drawing for ONE TOKYO GLOBAL member will be conducted starting from "Tokyo Marathon 2028."
  For the Tokyo Marathon 2028, applicants must enter as a ONE TOKYO GLOBAL Member and must have been unsuccessful in three consecutive applications for the Tokyo Marathon 2025, 2026 and 2027.
  * Even if you are a ONE TOKYO GLOBAL member, you will not be eligible for the drawing if you have not made a simple entry as a ONE TOKYO GLOBAL member (the three most recent races and Tokyo Marathon 2028).
  * You must remain a ONE TOKYO GLOBAL member continuously for the three most recent races and the race you want to apply for.
• 4.
  False name, date of birth, sex, nationality, residing address, and race records are strictly prohibited. Please carefully check your registered information for they are not allowed to be changed or canceled after submission, excluding the items that can be modified on the "My Entry".
• 5.
  The organizer will not be held responsible for any late entry due to error caused by certain PCs, browsers, operating systems and/or poor Internet connectivity.
• 6.
  Email delivery check for the registered email address will not be conducted. Note, the organizer will not be responsible for any inconvenience or loss due to trouble with the device (malfunction), system/email setting, failure to receive email and/or change in email address.
  * Please make sure to update your email address through the My Entry in case of address change. Depending on the situation, the My Entry may not be accessible. In that case, please directly contact the entry desk.
• 7.
  Entry desk and administration office will not accept any questions regarding entry status and/or entry result. Please refer to the "My Entry" page for your entry result status.
• 8.
  Applicants who fail to pay the event fee and other required fee by the designated date will have their entries cancelled automatically, and will not be allowed to participate in the race. Putting the right of entry or the race bib for sale or auction is strictly prohibited. Any participant guilty of breaching this rule will be disqualified, and the event fee (including donation) will not be refunded.
• 9.
  Entry through a travel agencies not approved by the event organizer are not allowed. If discovered, the entry will be voided and the event fee (including donation) will not be refunded.
• 10.
  No one other than the applicant themselves (substitute runner, transfer of rights) is allowed to run in the race. Runners must register in person with photo ID during the three-day registration period prior to the race (during runner registration hours). If you do not register during this period, you will be unable to participate in the race.
• 11.
  For security and to prevent unauthorized entries, we'll take measures such as requiring runners to wear wristbands at the time of packet pick up (to be worn until the finish line) and/or to register facial photos.
  * Please kindly note that a smartphone may be required depending on the operation.
  * Be sure to check the details in the Runner Handbook
  The Tokyo Marathon recommends carrying smartphones and transportation IC cards in case the race is cancelled during the race.
• 12.
  A baggage check-in fee will apply starting with Tokyo Marathon 2026.
  If you wish to check your bags during the race, please apply when applying for the race. Please note that baggage storage cannot be changed after applying.
  * Except in the event of intentional or gross negligence, the organizer shall not be held in any way responsible for any loss or damage.
• 13.
  Entry Gate, and Starting Corral cannot be requested for change for any reasons, and no exceptions accepted.
• 14.
  If the decision is made to cancel the marathon, event fees may be refunded and participants may have their entries deferred, depending on the timing of the decision and the reason for the cancellation. Details are as follows.
  Payment will only be available by the payment processing service specified by the organizer, and handling fees, etc., will be deducted from the refund amount.
  * Please note that an account with the payment processing service will be required. We appreciate your understanding.
• 14-1.
  A refund will be issued if the reason for the cancellation of the event is as indicated below.
• 14-1.1.
  Cancellation due to snowstorm, flood due to heavy rain, building destruction due to strong wind, lightning strike, tornado, and/or fire along or near the course, causing course blockage.
• 14-1.2.
  In addition to 14-1.1. above, cancellation due to a physical phenomenon that would make it impossible to guarantee safe running on the course, resulting in police authorities issuing a request that the event be canceled.
• 14-1.3.
  Cancellation due to earthquake within Japan.
• 14-1.4.
  Cancellation due to the J-ALERT
• 14-2.
  If the event is canceled for any of the reasons in 14-1. above, refunding and deferred entry will be performed as indicated below.
• 14-2.1.
  If the event is canceled by September 1, 2025.
• 14-2.1.1.
  70% of the subject amount will be refunded.
• 14-2.1.2.
  Entries will be deferred to Tokyo Marathon 2027 or Tokyo Marathon 2028.
• 14-2.2.
  If the event is canceled by December 1, 2025.
• 14-2.2.1.
  50% of the subject amount will be refunded.
• 14-2.2.2.
  Entries will be deferred to Tokyo Marathon 2027 or Tokyo Marathon 2028.
• 14-2.3.
  If the event is canceled by February 1, 2026.
• 14-2.3.1.
  20% of the subject amount will be refunded.
• 14-2.3.2.
  Entries will be deferred to Tokyo Marathon 2027 or Tokyo Marathon 2028.
• 14-2.4.
  If the event is canceled between February 2, 2026, and the starting gun time (9:05 a.m.) on March 1, 2026.
• 14-2.4.1.
  100% of the subject amount will be refunded.
• 14-2.4.2.
  Entries will not be deferred.
• 14-3.
  If a cancellation request is received from a government agency, or if the event is canceled for a reason not indicated in 14-1. above (including cancellation due to war/terrorism and/or communicable disease), the following will apply.
• 14-3.1.
  If the event is canceled by September 1, 2025.
• 14-3.1.1.
  70% of the subject amount will be refunded.
• 14-3.1.2.
  Entries will be deferred to Tokyo Marathon 2027 or Tokyo Marathon 2028.
• 14-3.2.
  If the event is canceled by December 1, 2025.
• 14-3.2.1.
  50% of the subject amount will be refunded.
• 14-3.2.2.
  Entries will be deferred to Tokyo Marathon 2027 or Tokyo Marathon 2028.
• 14-3.3.
  If the event is canceled by February 1, 2026.
• 14-3.3.1.
  20% of the subject amount will be refunded.
• 14-3.3.2.
  Entries will be deferred to Tokyo Marathon 2027 or Tokyo Marathon 2028.
• 14-3.4.
  If the event is canceled between February 2 and February 14, 2026.
• 14-3.4.1.
  10% of the subject amount will be refunded.
• 14-3.4.2.
  Entries will be deferred to Tokyo Marathon 2027 or Tokyo Marathon 2028.
• 14-3.5.
  If the event is canceled between February 15 and February 21, 2026.
• 14-3.5.1.
  5% of the subject amount will be refunded.
• 14-3.5.2.
  Entries will be deferred to Tokyo Marathon 2027 or Tokyo Marathon 2028.
• 14-3.6.
  If the event is canceled between February 22, 2026, and the starting gun time (9:05 a.m.) on March 1, 2026.
• 14-3.6.1.
  The event fee will not be refunded.
• 14-3.6.2.
  Entries will be deferred to Tokyo Marathon 2027 or Tokyo Marathon 2028.
• 15.
  Those who would like to cancel the race due to runner's own pregnancy or childbirth will only be transferred to the future race if they agree to the conditions and precautions for transferring their rights.
  In addition to the procedures for transferring rights, the following conditions and precautions will be anounced.
  Please contact the Entry Center by Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
  Conditions to be transferred
  ① Documents about pregnancy or childbirth are requied to be submitted.
  ② The event fee and other expenses for Tokyo Marathon 2026 are not refunded. Also, you are required to pay them again at the event you're transferred.
  ③ To be transferred is limited to one time only, for any reason. Also, you're not allowed to chage the event you are transferd
  ④ The event to be transferred is either Tokyo Marathon 2027, 2028 or 2029.
  * To be transferred due to illness or injury is not acceptable.
• 16.
  Violation of the rules, and withdrawal of the entry at the participants' discretion do not qualify for a refund. There is no entry deferral or special treatment for a future event.(Except for pregnancy or childbirth)
  Excess or duplicate event fee payments will be refunded, minus the handling fee.
